ShareLean Green Belt Certification
Prerequisite: Completion of Yellow Belt Training
Description :
Green Belt Certification blends classroom learning with practical applications. The Lean Green Belt program is a program specifically designed to build lean expertise and capability within an organization. This program creates lean champions internally. The course work is focused on applying Lean concepts and principles within a Value Stream Transformation model.
The Green Belt level of Certification is for organizations requiring individuals with the knowledge and expertise to conduct Lean Value Stream Transformations.
Each Green Belt must demonstrate competencies in the following to achieve their Green Belt certification:
- A complete Value Stream Map,
- A Value Stream Charter document to define scope of work and expectation
- A Current State Map
- A Future State Map,
- An Implementation Plan
- Kaizen Charters for each Kaizen as per the plan
- Completed Kaizens with documented results
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Ability to influence staff at all levels
- Achieve sustainable results
Green Belt Certification Program Content
Phase 1: Confirmation of Lean Theory & Concepts
- Introduction to Lean
- Enterprise Value Stream Mapping
- Lean Tools Training specific to the needs of the organization, industry
Phase 2: Practical Application & Certification
Participants will select a Value Stream Project and demonstrate the following competencies:
- A Value Stream Charter document
- A Value Stream Map
- a Current State Map,
- a Future State Map,
- an Implementation Plan
Provide a report to confirm all elements have been met
Phase 3: Kaizen Implementation
- Kaizen Charters for each Kaizen as per the plan
- Completed Kaizens with documented results
- Provide a final report on the implementation including a review of all outcomes and results. This will be evaluated against the original Value Stream Charter.
