CJ is passionate and results-driven professional who brings his 23 years of experience of implementing LEAN Six Sigma culture in manufacturing and public service. He has trained over 3000 people at different levels of organization on various levels of LEAN Six Sigma trainings (White, Yellow or Green Belt), supported 50 project teams and embedded LEAN Six Sigma in organizations varying from 10 to 7000 employees by acting as a motivator, a trainer, a coach, a mentor and a facilitator.
He is a professional speaker and has presented at various conferences including professional bodies like PMI & ASQ. His mantra is to make individuals and teams self-reliant in a short period of time and transition them from “good to great”. He is a certified ADKAR Change management professional from PROSCI, LEAN six sigma Black Belt from ASQ and a PMP- Project management professional from PMI.
CJ spent 15 years in manufacturing and learned LEAN skills from Japanese Sensei while working on the shop floor at Honda as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. In the past 6.5 years CJ has been working as a LEAN Program consultant for a major municipality in Ontario applying LEAN in public service and service industry.
In Public Service CJ has trained numerous White Belts, Yellow Belts, 30 Green Belts and coached senior leaders at different levels. He was able to embed LEAN Six Sigma in 5 out of 26 divisions resulting in 300 small improvements and coached or facilitated 30 LEAN events (LEAN Six Sigma projects). These engagements resulted in service quality enhancement, cost avoidance of $2 million, increased employee morale, enhanced safety and reduced carbon footprint. To name a few public service projects, such as Parks Waste Management, Summer Camp recruiting and hiring, Library Materials Supply Chain, Library Books holds, Courts Early Resolution process, Facilities Security Access, Vacancy Tax rebate, Mechanical and Civil assets service request process, Building Permit process, By Laws Complaint Resolution, Accounts payable process and City Repairs and Construction.
